The 5 Most Difficult Jobs to Fill in 2012 for the US?

In yesterday's Inc. Magazine, an article identified the 5 most difficult jobs to fill in 2012. According to the writer, they are/will be:
1) Software Engineers and Web Developers - Top Tier
2) Creative design and User Experience - especially for mobile devices
3) Product Management - especially for start-ups or early-stage companies
4) Online Marketing by creating a buzz, and
5) Analytics and Business Intelligence Professionals - identifying what should be measured and then building out the capability.

So do you agree as a CEO or Senior Executive? This is the forecast for the US, but different regions may be having other availability gaps. The link to the original article is below.

  1. On the 5th one, it's what I believe I'm most capable of filling, what for to of experience and degree are organizations looking for?

  2. how will this greatly affect the Philippine Market? With the knowledge that US is having the difficulty of hiring this positions, that Philippines has a number of really good resources, it could potentially cause another talent drain in the Country. I work in an IT company and honestly, we are having challenges getting the Top 1 position in this article. As the US tries to hire for its corporations, the talent acquisition competition even gets tougher for the Philippine IT companies.

  3. Yes, but even if some people look at moving to the US to pursue positions, there are still many Filipinos who prefer to stay in their home country. Also, many who desire to move to the US or Europe or other overseas markets, will soon realize that while they make more money, the cost of living and other expenses consumes much of the salary differential.
